Its been a busy week. Thanks to everyone who contributed to cash for clays. Our total was $5,500. Its now time to collect fees, please have them turned in to the ops table by next Friday 5/15/26. These fees will be used to offset the cost of the state singles fees, national fees, and team ops.
Friday night was listed as a SCTP Meet. Mens Sr Division Alex, Nick and Luke Moberg rounded out the top 3, Morgan Ray took 1st Ladies Sr, Kaigen McGill took 2nd in IE Mens and Lauren Filmer took 1st Ladies IE.
Saturday at the Leather meet proved to be challenging due to wind. Most of the high singles scores were established early in the day when we were shooting skeet. Unfortunately we can't always shoot in the best of conditions. That being said, Lauren Filmer stayed focused and tied for first place in Ladies IE. This was her first shoot off, for those who haven't experienced it, it's a whole new set of emotions that come into play when you know your dueling with just one other person for first. Job well done for placing 2nd.
Logan Kemp held up his streak of Annie Oakley Champ by taking first place at the Leather Meet.
Tickets:
Tickets Closing this week are the Upcoming Shark meet at Stockdale. This is 100 target meet for singles, handicap and doubles
Also Closing is the Otter Creek Leather meet in Cedar Rapids. This is a registered ATA meet. Which means 100 targets singles and doubles. ATA shoots handicap at varying yardages which do not correlate with SCTP.
STATE FEE TICKET is now open. The team has fronted these costs in order to get slots for competition. Times are relative as the event is based on flights, which means that the only time that's true is 8am. THis ticket does have a short turn around so please take care of it at your earliest chance.
5/23 RED WHITE AND BLUE ticket is open. This event is over memorial day weekend and is a fund raiser for blue star moms. This will be 100 target singles and 100 doubles.
Steak Night is 5/21/26 and we still need volunteers to work a total of 4 shifts. The rest of us just need to drive family and friends to a steak dinner.
Monday and Thursday's practice will be as usual, Friday Coach Kemp and Feldman will run practice. We will need the help of the rest of the coaching staff to fill in so practice runs smoothly. As always one on ones are available upon request.
