Practice Schedule & Focus
Practices continue as normal this week, but with a voluntary focused practice once regular rounds are complete.
Fundamentals: For our new athletes, once the main rounds are completed, we will pull aside to focus on core fundamentals and team targets.
Skeet & Sporting Clays: Our first week of specialized practice at Butch Olafson Gun Range begins this week from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM.
Gear Up: It’s spring in Iowa—the weather changes by the hour. Please ensure athletes are dressed in layers and prepared for the elements.

Important Reminders
Photo Submissions: If you took photos at the meet, please upload them to the Team App. We need these for high school yearbooks and team records!
Pro Tip: For yearbook purposes, try to frame or crop photos so the focus is on the athlete; the less "firearm-heavy" the crop, the easier they are to place in school publications.
Travel Policy: A reminder that athletes are not permitted to drive themselves to competitions. You must ride with a parent or a teammate. If you are having trouble coordinating a ride, please contact me directly so we can find a spot for you.

Save the Date: Home Meet & Fundraiser
May 9th is our Home Meet! This is our primary fundraiser for the year, featuring our Cash for Clays format and on-site concessions.
This is a true "all hands on deck" event. We will need help with:
Concession stand staffing
Trap house loading
Scorekeeping
Keep an eye out for a SignUpGenius link coming soon to volunteer for work shifts or to donate water and food items for the concessions.
