Todays Hills Farm meet was a good reminder that we shoot in all conditions, and brought back not so fond memories of our state skeet meet. Sustained winds of 17mph gusting to 27 made it difficult to stand up much less shoot. But the squad really did pretty well.

Monday is our fundraiser/meet. All athletes need to bring their sponsor sheet with 5 sponsors. Check in at the table where we will collect them, squads cannot go out until I make the squad sheets. Once compete, all scoresheets must be brought in. You will need to follow up with your sponsors to collect donations and turn the funds in at the next practice. I will enter scores into the SHOT tracking system for prizes. There will be at least a few from other teams joining us. Once singles are compete, we will get ready for the Annie Oakly – After we shoot a perfectly good hat for Wrigley Parks. Bring a minimum of 5-6 boxes of ammo and prepare for the weather. For the new shooters, just come to practice like normal. Check is as mentioned above. I will need extra coaches tomorrow.

I received the info for 10/12/25 This is a ATA meet, which means a few more things that will need to be completed on my end that are time sensitive. I will post a ticket tonight that will close weds evening – 8pm. This is a hard date and time no exceptions. The event will be 100 singles and 100 doubles. Handicap is offered, but per ata different yardages than sctp. I have no idea on start times. Event says registration at 9, with competition at 10. So be onsite at 9am if you plan to attend.

Thursday 10/9/25 will be Skeet practice at Butch Olafson. 530pm.

The next week we expect a temperature roller coaster, so come prepared with extra clothes. See you Monday – come with a good attitude and enjoy the night. Guests are welcome
